Walking Giraffe

This walking giraffe bot is designed to resemble a real giraffe, this robot has been created to provide children with a fun and educational experience. It's not only fun, but it can also be used as a tool for education. Children can learn about the mechanics behind the robot's movements and how they are made. It can also be used to teach children about the habitat and behavior of real giraffes. This bot provides children with an opportunity to learn about animals and robotics in a new and exciting way. The walking giraffe will capture the imagination of children and provide hours of entertainment. Have fun!

  • Easy

  1. Attach the battery pack to the DC motor by wrapping the wire around the leads on the motor. Twist and secure with electric tape.

  2. Tape the battery and motor to the top of the lid.

  3. Place a cork on the mini motor. You might want to turn it on for testing.

  4. Hot glue the legs and body of the giraffe.

  5. Decor the giraffe with googly eyes, hair, or more! This is the step when kids can get creative!

  6. Turn it on and have fun!

The giraffe bot has an unbalanced motor that makes it move in different ways. In this case the cork makes the motor unbalanced and as the motor moves/vibrates it causes the giraffe bot to move as well.
